playing the tourist part..

Everytime I sees the 'Free wi-fi' sign, I cursed my self for having to leave my notebook behind. At that point of time, all the creative ideas come rushing in to my brains, then I'll go crazy for not being able to get it done at that very moment. And now in front of my Satellite notebook, those crazy ideas seems to be locked away! intriguing...

Last weekend we got 'stranded' at the airport TWICE! first we missed the direct flight to Penang, Malaysia, caused us to stay over night at the airport hotel waiting for the first flight the following morning. Oh when I said 'we' it included my 18 months nephew who never stops wandering around which seriously gave me nausea.

Arriving at 10am at the KLIA we had to catch another flight which only takes off not before 1.40 pm. If I were alone, I would probably enjoyed my self, playing the 'local tourist'. Sitting on the corner of a local coffee house, getting intimate with Erich Segal's Love Story, while taking a sinful slice of a 'hand-crafted' cake and a cup of Cafe Latte, pretending I am a part of this community I'm surrounded by.

I closed my eyes...

I was on twitter this morning and as i follows Jason Mraz, for the first time after so many days he (or whoever runs his twitter) wrote "Happy to be back in Australia" and I thought that's unfair, I wanna be Happy to be back in Australia tooooo, only I'm not.

Which reminds me the last time I were in Sydney was in 2006 and that was the last time I buried my feet under the Brighton Beach sands. I took one final look of the place I grew up in, it seems like only yesterdays me and my girlfriends were rocking the boat in our skimpy pajamas and silly dances. I can recall the sleepless nights we had over a monopoly game we played to cover up our seemingly endless heart to heart talks.

I remembered every birthdays we celebrated, every laughter on the kitchen floor, every songs we sang on the balcony, every winter days in front of the heater. There was the place I turned strangers into friends, and friends into families. Before I walked out the door, I gazed around the apartment, to make sure that I had captured every corner of it to carry it in my heart. A place I, we all once called home.

briefly...

I've traveled to some of the most unbelievably beautiful places in the world. I kept a journal of it in my heart so that where ever I go, it follows. The good thing about your heart is that it has unlimited space to store all the finest and worst case you've ever faced in life. But sometimes, you need to let it out and let the world knows.
